President Chandrikapersad Santokhi explained that the current developments are part of the strategic digitalization policy of his administration. He pointed out that the government has been busy with this ransformation for the past couple of years. According to the president, the fast development of artificial intelligence (AI) has boosted the urgency for further investments in the digitalization of government services. President Santokhi explained that it takes too long to obtain a birth or death certificate at CBB. “One had to stand in line for a very long time just to obtain a certificate,” said President Santokhi.
