a lack of communication and a lack of transparency which make people question the entire election process. The VSB urged the administration of President Chandrikapersad Santokhi to immediately take appropriate measures aimed at restoring faith in the election process. “We underline the need for good governance,strong institutional capacity and the deployment of competent officials who can carry this process on their shoulders.” The VSB made it clear that it expects full disclosure, improved communication and structural corrections in the interest of the democratic state.
